The Galapagos evokes images of marine iguanas and multitudes of sea birds living in an archipelago of desert landscapes.

What’s it like to walk the trails of the different islands, exploring their uniqueness, and their diversity? Judd A Howell, Ph.D., a Napa County resident and Fellow Emeritus of the Explorers Club of NY, has toured these islands that Charles Darwin walked. With over 50 years of experience in Zoology, Ornithology, Mammalogy, and Wildlife Ecology, Howell turns his thoughts to biodiversity conservation, island biogeography, and speciation.
