Join us as Lois Ann Flood performs a selection of Isadora Duncan’s dances and tells us the story of how California influenced Isadora on her path to becoming the mother of modern dance.
Lois will share stories of Isadora’s youth growing up in Oakland and of her life in her twenties and beyond in Europe, where she became known as the world's first expressive modern dancer. Isadora’s revolutionary ideas on dance would change the way the world viewed women in the arts.
This program is lively and appealing to all ages with entertaining and educational dances that express the human spirit.
