Join the Napa County Library Literacy Center as we highlight the importance of literacy for individuals, communities and societies.
All day activities include:
10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.: Literacy Open House: Come hear of the many services offered and enjoy light refreshments.
1:00 - 3:00 p.m.: Drop-in Crafts & Games: Create your own mini-book, play literacy bingo, and more.
3:30-4:00 p.m.: Pass the Book: Read a chapter or two and pass it on to your neighbor.
4:00-5:20 p.m. Screening “The Right to Read” documentary. Produced by Levar Burton, this recent film tells stories of a courageous activist, a teacher, and two American families who fight to provide our youngest generation with the most foundational indicator of life-long success: the ability to read. Families are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
